The Lahore High Court (LHC) was furious over the non-appearance of the chairperson OGRA on the petition against the shortage of petroleum products and rejected the plea for pardon. No action has been taken yet.
According to private TV Dunya News, a petition was heard in the Lahore High Court against the shortage of petroleum products. The court was furious over the non-appearance of Chairperson OGRA. The crisis arose in Mianwali and other districts. Chief Justice Qasim Khan said that Mianwali is the constituency of the Prime Minister. The court said that the Ministry of Petroleum paid more attention only in this constituency. He said that this is a great example of bad governance.
Giving remarks, the court said that the country is destroying the co-chairperson Ogra. The chairperson rejects Ogra's request for pardon. The Chief Justice of the High Court said that the chairperson could not work and resign.
The court said that it is known that no action has been taken against anyone for collusion. If the executive fails in its duty, the society will be destroyed.
The Chief Justice of the High Court said that those responsible will be arrested and put in jail.
No action has been taken against Ogra.
Chief Justice Qasim Khan said that we are not interfering in the matter of Parliament. The Principal Secretary to the Prime Minister has been summoned for the next hearing. The court said that it is not satisfied with the reply of the Principal Secretary to the Prime Minister. Action will be taken in the light of the report of the Judicial Commission.
