After Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) central leader Senator Rehman Malik, former Prime Minister Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani has also sent a notice of Rs 100 million compensation to American woman Cynthia de Richie for making shameful allegations.
According to details, PPP leader and former prime minister Yousuf Raza Gilani has sent a legal notice to Cynthia Richie, an American blogger based in Pakistan, in which he demanded an apology for false and frivolous allegations of tampering and withdrawal of his allegations. Former Prime Minister's son Syed Ali Haider Gilani tweeted on micro-blogging website that his father Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani has sent a defamation notice to Cynthia Richie through his lawyer which he will get soon. If Cynthia Richie fails to prove the allegation, she will have to pay Rs 100 million in damages. Talking to a private TV channel, Syed Ali Haider Gilani said that the PPP has always respected women. Cynthia de Richie's allegations are so base that we will take serious action. My father has been in politics for forty years, but in those forty years our opponents have not made such a base accusation.
Earlier, Senator Rehman Malik had also sent two contempt notices to Cynthia de Richie while he had also written a letter to the Home Ministry to include Cynthia Richie's name in the ECL.
