The incident took place in Thane, a city in the Indian state of Maharashtra. According to police, eight to nine robbers carried out the incident and took away the ATM which had Rs 1.8 million cash in it. It belonged to ATM Access Bank. The bank staff found the ATM missing the next morning and informed the police. Police say the case is being investigated and they have reached out to the accused. He will be arrested soon.
